16th of march
today lesson we split our group into two ashleigh and emma had sure we was up to date on our blog and emily and harry started writing up our evaluation.

went made sure the film was ready for all the group to watch and analyse,
the second half of the lesson we went around and watched all the other group pieces and marked them to the sheet giving.

we put the fade effect over our film and sorted the colour out to fit the genre.
we had to change the mid,whites and black to get the effects we wanted,
had to make sure it was all the same throughout the film so it looked consistent.

today we re-shot from different angle and re did some old shot to make sure we kept to the rule of continuity.

we spoke to the our teacher and between us all, we decided it was better to re shoot some shots,as they were not as effective as they could have been.
also in the lesson we tried fitting the music to what we had already to see if it was giving the right image.

finalised the music and made sound track for the tension building part in our film. in this music we used a lot of sound effects and a base beat.

In lesson today we watched over our filming and started to edited while edited we came across some mistakes,we wrote and listed camera shot which would need re-filming and new shots we would of liked to try out and even put in.

today we met up and filmed our opening sequence our location was the priory park and we used the woods at the back for our teen horror,we had a camera shot list so we knew the angles of our shots,and what we had to do we also tried to think of different shots just incase we wanted to put them in our film.

in today lesson we planned our filming day we sorted out times location,and also made our music in sound track.
the music that we made was for the opening 20 seconds it was digetic sound as we used it for the background music but it was made to look like it was coming from the actor headphones in the film,the music was up beat and was influence from the song dirty little secret by all american rejects.we used a lot of drums sounds and electric guitar.

In your view how effective were the following?
people found that the Mise en Scene - out of excellent to very weak said that it was mainly good, we had one that said that we were ok and one said that it was excellent.
The camera work was again marked from excellent to very weak, people felt that it was, good this was what all the groups said.
The editing was also marked from excellent to very weak, people said that - it was mainly good with one ok and one excellent.

The intro to the jog was good, and the use of the mise en scene that was used were good. The costumes, titles and sound track were said to be very good. the camera and editing were good and people said that it flows well when the women is running. the music at the begging fits the genre.

People felt that the title shots could have been better and they thought that they should have been up for longer at the end. People felt that there should have been a few more hand held shots in the film to create more tension. One group feel that the genre wasn't portrayed clear enough, and another thought that the editing could have been a bit better than it was and again thought that it should have been clearer about what we were trying to achieve. One group felt that the music didnt match the genre.

lesson on the 12th feb
In today's lesson, we needed to print out the script and shot list so that when filming we had something to refer to. We went on soundtrack again and added to our piece of tension music. We also looked at the film 'Shrooms' for music ideas and we liked how the music created the suspense feeling and brought tension. They used a lot of distorted and dissonant sounds which will work well in our film. They also had high pitched and sharp, sudden sounds which scares the audience.
Today we will also begin filming from around 12.30 onwards in Priory Park.

lesson 6th of feb
Today we split into twos and worked on sound for our opening sequence,
ashleigh and emma create a piece of music for the ipod and also decided on the theme tune
while emily and harry worked together to make the main piece of tension music in the opening sequence.

Lesson 5th feb
Today we were supposed to film, however our leading actress was ill so instead we decided to try and create our piece of music for the ipod. This was done by using sound track during the lesson. However due to not having Emily here we weren't able to do much else regarding filming. On Friday's lesson we plan to try and do what we planned to do on the Monday lesson, the whole production is now a lesson behind due to the snow days that we encountered.

Lesson 30th Feb
In today's lesson we completed our story board, this means that we are on schedule with our schedule therefore leaving us with more time to do the more important parts such as filming. However we also had to add some more shots into our Story board as we didn't have enough, and we as a group had to get to grips with the rules of 3rds again as we hadn't use it in awhile. So to get rid of some our photo's that didnt comply with this rule we had to use the flop effect in Final cut to sort out our error. We then filled out our time table so we know when things need to be done by. Lastly we then started to do some clothing research so that we get across the right effect from our characters.

Costume Research
The character of Ella is out on a jog in our opening sequence. For that reason we decided she needs to be wearing some sort of jogging outfit. We had a few ideas and researched on the internet to see what was appropriate. Shorts were very popular but due to the weather of the season we thought it would be unrealistic for Ella to be wearing shorts this time of year. We therefore decided to have Ella in leggings, t-shirt and a jumper. Here is an image which we think would be similar to costume.

The other character we have in the opening is the masked figure. He needs to be wearing dark clothing that covers his whole body and a mask to make him look mysterious.

We then uploaded them to the computer and started to put them into final cut to finish in fridays lesson. Whilst we were doing this we also decided when it would be best for us to film and meet up with each other, we chose wednesday and thursday week commencing as it best fits with our time tables. Then Ashleigh started to write out when we have to get certain things completed by so that we have an timetable so we dont start to fall behind and keep on top of things.

Script
Dirty Little Secret
Opening Scene
Ext. Nighttime
It's early evening, there is a eerie blue light as the sun sets. The scene is set in a wood. The trees and air are still.
ELLA sets off for a jog through the woods at the back of her house. She begins to run through the trees with her ipod playing music in her ears.
Phone buzzes as ELLA receives a text from an unknown number
ELLA stops running and picks up the phone from her trouser pocket and presses the open button to read the message. The message displays...
'Look behind, and tell your sister to do the same'
ELLA suddenly looks panicked and rips the ipod from her ears. The music abruptly stops. She whips her head around, the camera changes to a point of view shot and pans slowly round. We see a masked figure in the distance, scary music begins. ELLA runs, panting loudly, in and out of trees. The camera cuts back to where the figure was but he is no longer there. ELLA falls as she trips and looks up to see the masked figure standing in front of her.
ELLA: (Screams)
The Masked figure grabs ELLA and drags her through the forest. ELLA's phone drops out her pocket while this is happening and starts to ring with the ringtone of 'Teddy Bear's Picnic'. The Camera goes to a close up of the phone and displays...
'Lucy Calling'
The ringtone then turns into the real music and the title comes onto the screen.

our film will be release in the cinemas all over the country ,then out on dvd and we will be advertising it in new papers and in produce a trailer,we will also be creating posters.we will also be showing our film in the cannes festival in may.

ella is a young women at the age of 19,she has blonde hair blue eyes and a lovely smile,she has just started working in her new job which is for daily mirror as a internal,she lives on her own in a small flat in reigate.she is very close to her older sister they spend alot of time together as that all they had when they were growing up.
The killer is a unknown but turns out to be there father,he wears dark black clothes and is coming back for revenge,as ellas mother died giving birth to her and he has always blamed ella for it,thats why he was never there for them in there childhood.
LOCATIONS-The film is based in the small town of reigate and in the woods near her sisters house.

student Research - Analysis - Halloween
Sound - The footage is silent for the first 1.03min of the film - this scares the audience as people are curious and don't know what is happening and why it is so silent. Then the music starts playing, and it is a high pitch sound which quitens down as the person enters the back door. We then have the sound of the draw opening and the person grasping the knife. The music is not very quick paced, this portrays the idea that the person is trying their best not to be heard or seen. The music continues to be quiet as they go upstairs almost creeping likie he is. The music then becomes loud and higher pitched when we see the women, and she gets stabbed. We then hear the car pull up outside and we are confused to what is happening, and then the music gets louder as the car doors open, and more instruments are added to the music as the parents get out and they reveal the killer.
Overall Effects - The audience become scared whilst following the eyes of the stranger as they dont know what is about to happen. Then the audience get tense and surprised with what is going on through the scene when they see the knife. When the girl gets killed the audience fear for whats going to happen next and when the killer is revealed as a little boy the whole audience become shocked and confused.

Student Research - Analysis - Halloween
Camera - Handheld, Point of View shot puts the audience in the mind of the character walking around and so they can empathise with them. Long Shot of exterior of house shows to the audience the setting. One continuos shot as person walks around and inside the house builds up tension. Close up on the kitchen drawer as character pulls out a knife. Medium Close Up of clown mask on the floor as character reaches out from behind the camera and puts it on. Audience can then only see through the eyes of the mask as if they are wearing it. Camera then switches so it is no longer point of view to a Medium Close Up of a young boy in a clown outfit holding the knife. Brings shock as we find out the murderer is actually a child. Camera then pans out to an Extreme Long Shot of the house and people outside it so audience are left to contemplate the events that have just happened.

They walk out the house, the parents come home to see their son with a knife, with blood on it, dressed up in a clown suit.

Sypnosis
Girl is running through the woods late in the night, we hear loud panting, and just keep seeing her through the tree's running. We as yet dont know why she is running. she then hides from something that she was running from, she makes a call to someone. When she finishes on the phone, we hear leaves crunching on the ground in the woods, the girl looks around for whoever it is, when she turns back to run we see a man in a mask in her face, he just stares at her, and then you hear a scream and we just get a close up of the women falling to the ground with a knife in her chest, still alive dragged off into the woods. We then cut back to several days before the women that gets killed, where the women that gets killed is becoming hassled at work from a stranger, she starts to recieve weird emails, saying that someone is watching her, then she starts to see someone following her. She then recieves phone calls from this person but whenever she answers them there is no-one there. Then she starts recieving texts, emails, phone calls, just stating her adress. She now decides to move to her sisters near a woods, she goes for a run even though her sister says its dangerous but ignores her as she believes this person can't know that she is here, whilst on the run she recievs another phone call, all she is told is ' look behind you' and 'And tell your sister the same thing - this is where the movie starts, When she starts running.
